The French take Sienna without artillery in order to protect the historical city. The Italians give them a flag with a golden inscription: "No French shell was shot on the city".

Les Français prennent Sienne sans artillerie pour épargner les trésors historiques de la ville. Les Italiens leur offrent un drapeau marqué de l'inscription : "Pas un seul obus français sur Sienne".
